Mental Health and Learning Disabilities
Local mental health and learning disabilities services are commissioned by the CCG, NHS England, local authority partners and some voluntary sector organisations. Usually, children, young people and adults are supported at home to ensure they are close to families, friends and their community. A small number may need inpatient support, which will be as close to home as possible, although sometimes, when patients require specialised services, they may need to be cared for out of the immediate area.
