Prestigious award win for Tollerton Surgery team member
The Extended Practice Team Member Award 2020, is a fantastic achievement and one of the most prestigious awards for a member of a GP practice team who has had a positive impact on improving patient care and practice efficiency.
Emma Wilkinson, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner at Tollerton Surgery, North Yorkshire has scooped this award at the national General Practice Awards 2020, announced this week.
The General Practice Awards are designed to recognise, highlight and reward the hardwork and innovation that gets carried out every day in surgeries throughout the UK.
On winning the award, Emma Wilkinson said: “I am really shocked and delighted to have won such a meaningful General Practice Award.
“Working in primary care is a dream role for me as well as wanting to provide the best care for my patients, I have been able to gain additional experience and qualifications which have seen me extend my knowledge, be published in national journals and gain a first class honours degree.
“I love my job, it is extremely rewarding with heaps of job satisfaction and it is an added bonus getting to work alongside such a great team.
Graduating from The University of York in 2013, Emma became the youngest practice nurse with in the NHS.
