Local NHS announce exciting new plans for health and care in the community
Following the celebrations of being selected as a NHS Pioneer site for the delivery of seamless, innovative care systems, NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has revealed its exciting plans that will secure the best community health and care services for the local area.
At recent meetings hosted by the CCG, local health and care providers were invited to talk to Vale of York health commissioners and share their views on the integration of services and the opportunities to create new, ground-breaking models of care.
The feedback from the events provided vital, opinion-forming information that will shape and influence future plans for community health and care models and help us to embark on a system wide review of community services.
Fiona Bell, Deputy Chief Operating Officer and the CCG’s Lead for Innovation and Improvement said: “The CCG is committed to securing the best in health and wellbeing for everyone in the Vale of York. The commissioning of good quality community services plays an important role in this.
“In the immediate future the CCG will be working with all existing providers within the local health landscape to complete important service reviews. In the longer-term, these reviews will shape designs for an improved system.
“This is a really exciting time for the local community, patients and health and care services as they can look forward to being able to access seamless and better-quality services that will support some of the most vulnerable people in our community.”
